I AM THE IMPACT

MY GLOBAL FUND STORY

Introduction of the Campaign:

2025 is a defining year for global health. As the world edges closer to 2030, young people are stepping up and leading the charge in the fight against HIV, TB, and Malaria. The Global Fund’s Eighth Replenishment needs US$18 billion to save 23 million lives, cut deaths from the three diseases by 64%, and avert 400 million new infections.

YOUNITE Global is a youth-led network with members from over 65 countries, driving bold, lived-experience-led advocacy. We’re not just calling for more funding—we’re demanding justice, accountability, and youth leadership in the global response to HIV, TB, and malaria.

Our campaign centers the voices of young people most affected by these diseases to push for a youth-powered, community-led, and equity-focused Global Fund.In partnership with other youth-led organizations—Youth LEAD, Youth RISE, Restless Development, Y+ Global, The Youth PACT, and the Global Fund Youth Council—we are united for the successful replenishment of Global Fund that puts communities at the heart of the response.

Together, we stand with the call:

Primary Hashtag: #YouthFuel18Billion | #IAmTheImpact | #MyGlobalFundStories

Key Messages

1. Let Youth Lead: Fund the Future by Letting Youth Lead

The Global Fund’s $18 billion target is more than a funding goal — it’s an opportunity to ensure young people’s leadership is embedded in decision-making. Youth are not just beneficiaries but proven changemakers in the response to HIV, TB, and malaria. Meaningful youth engagement — through investment in leadership, access, and platforms — must be recognized as a strategic imperative, not an afterthought. 🡺 Advocate locally: Push for dedicated youth-inclusive funding streams, community-based interventions led by young people, and youth involvement in grant-making bodies and monitoring systems.

2. Bridge the Gaps: Invest in Equity and Access

With the Global Fund’s investment, we can reach 23 million lives, prevent 400 million new infections, and reduce deaths by 60%. But this will only happen if investments prioritize people most often left behind: adolescent girls, young women, key and vulnerable populations, and those living in fragile contexts. 🡺 Localize this call: Advocate for investments that ensure equitable access to services, mental health support, and community-led monitoring. Ensure national strategic plans reflect the rights-based, gender-transformative, and inclusive approach detailed in the Investment Case.

3. Accountability Is Justice: Make Replenishment Count

We call on governments, the private sector, and high-net-worth individuals to treat the Eighth Replenishment not as charity but as an obligation to justice, equity, and global health security. Funding HIV, TB, and malaria is not just lifesaving — it’s smart economics, delivering $19 in return for every $1 invested. 🡺 Make it relevant nationally: Use this economic argument to urge Ministries of Finance, Parliamentarians, and business leaders to pledge both financially and politically — and to do so transparently and accountably.

4. Invest in the Future: Fund Health, Fuel Hope

This is not just about funding a program — it’s about securing the long-term stability of health systems, sustaining innovation, and building resilient communities. The Global Fund has already averted 65 million deaths. With continued investment, we can cut new infections by more than half and save billions in health costs. 🡺 Anchor this locally: Frame replenishment as a tool to bolster your country's progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC), climate-resilient systems, and inclusive pandemic preparedness

Campaign Launch Toolkit:

Our logo for “I AM THE IMPACT” is more than just a picture –

it tells a powerful story about who we are, what we stand for, and how together, we create change.

Colourful Hands (Palm Prints):

Each colorful hand in the logo stands for young people from different backgrounds—different identities, cultures, and experiences. When all these hands come together, they show unity, strength, and support. Just like every hand is unique, every story matters—and your voice can make a difference.

The Dove:

All the hands together form a dove, a symbol of peace, hope, and new beginnings.

It shows that when young people join hands, we can rise, fly, and lead change—especially in the fight against HIV, TB, and malaria.

The Stamp Frame:

The logo is shaped like a stamp, reminding us that this campaign is about sharing real stories from young people around the world. Like sending a message of love, power, and impact—it shows that your journey, your struggle, and your success can inspire others globally.
