STEERING COMITTEE


Natasha Mvula
Natasha Mvula is a passionate 28-year-old corporate professional from Zambia with three years of experience in TB advocacy and gender-based violence prevention. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management and has served as Youth Lead Coordinator for the Stop TB Partnership and Communications Officer at CITAMplus, where she leads impactful initiatives engaging children and youth in TB prevention.
Natasha works closely with local health facilities, celebrities, and parliamentarians to amplify advocacy efforts and influence health policy. She has also contributed to national research as a Research Assistant in two TB assessments in partnership with the Ministry of Health. With strong skills in strategic planning, communication, and community mobilization, she is committed to driving sustainable change in vulnerable communities.

Abu Goma
Abu Goma a 23-year-old who resides in Lusaka. He is a passionate TB and HIV advocate in his community. With his 2 years’ experience in community health mobilization, he is committed to raising awareness and helping break the silence and stigma that often surround these diseases. His advocacy is cantered on vulnerable groups, particularly youth and underdeveloped communities, to take control of their health, as he believes that by empowering young people and underdeveloped communities with knowledge, support and a safe space to talk, real change can happen.
In addition to his advocacy work, he is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, skilfully balancing his education with his deep commitment to public health and youth empowerment.

AGNESS LUNGU
A 26-year-old advocate from Lusaka, Zambia, dedicated to improving health outcomes and empowering communities through advocacy and education. With over 8 years of experience in the TB and HIV space, she passionately drives positive change and supports those affected by these diseases.


KONDWELANI KAMANGA
A 30-year-old youth advocate from Lusaka, Kondwelani is passionate about community health and TB elimination. He has led youth-focused awareness sessions on TB prevention, testing, and treatment adherence, and worked closely with local health facilities and youth organizations to increase access to TB services. Actively involved in national campaigns, he champions early diagnosis and stigma reduction, particularly among adolescents. His advocacy also supports integrating TB care into broader youth health programs, earning him recognition for driving youth-led efforts toward a TB-free Zambia.

TINASHE KOWO
A 29-year old TB advocate and TB mentor with a diploma in clinical medicine from Lusaka, Zambia. Tinashe is a competent and committed advocate to community engagement on TB screening, TPT and TB treatment, ensuring that there is equity to the vulnerable. Tinashe has been involving himself in ministry of health campaigns such as TB, malaria, covid-19, and Male circumcision for over 4 years.
Objective
Raise Awareness about TB: Promote accurate knowledge about tuberculosis, its prevention, symptoms, and treatment through community outreach, educational campaigns, and digital platforms to empower youth and communities to act against TB.
Share TB Journeys to Reduce Stigma:Create safe spaces for individuals and communities to share their experiences with TB, fostering empathy and understanding to break the silence and reduce stigma associated with the disease.
Eliminate Stigma at Every Level: Develop and implement youth-led initiatives that challenge and dismantle stigma and discrimination faced by individuals affected by TB in social, institutional, and health care settings.
Advocate for Youth Involvement in TB Policy and Investment: Engage and amplify youth voices in policy discussions, decision-making processes, and resource allocation for TB responses, ensuring young people play a central role in shaping an equitable TB-free future.
Build Capacity of Young Leaders: Empower youth champions and advocates with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to lead impactful TB elimination efforts at local, regional, and national levels.
