ABOUT US
YOUNITE Tanzania is the country chapter of YOUNITE for TB Global, a youth-led initiative committed to educating communities about TB, participating in research, and advocating for the rights of young people and those affected by TB. Since late 2024, we have partnered with various stakeholders to run awareness campaigns, conduct TB screenings, and provide educational sessions in communities and clinics across Tanzania. We also started a special program for children under the age of 15, teaching them how to recognize TB symptoms and empowering them to become health ambassadors in their homes/families. YOUNITE Tanzania has also actively participated in global events such as World TB Day by supporting community screening and health education efforts. We remain at the forefront of the fight against TB, ensuring that young people and the wider Tanzanian community receive essential health information and services.
